He nonchelantly put an agreement infront of me, keeping his hand covering the top and mumbling about "an old English Law" where you "buy" an attorney and they give you priority. I read what was visible, signed and he whisked it away to make sure I couldnt look it over.
He didnt do a thing for a year, never sent a statement and then sent me a another bill, double the retainer. I asked for a copy of the agreement and the top of it read that all the retainer immediately becomes the property of the lawyer just for being " my attorney.
In between, he talked me into going together to visit the opposing attorney (his best friend) and to bring the registration of my parents substantial teal estate.
He flipped the document over to his friend and asked me to wait in the next room. I overheard them trying to figure out how to get their hands on my future inheritance. Team players.
If there was ever an example of decayed total corruption, its the bellingham
Lawyers. And dont worry, the washington bar association is their refuge and safe haven. Also totally decayed and corrupt.
The last few real attorneys in bellingham were run out of town by the brotherhood - The conglomeration that makes sure cases are fixed. If any opposed the arrangement, they were harassed, intimidated and even threatened.
All caved in to the pressures. A true mafia.
