I was involved in a Partition Lawsuit with my sibling regarding inherited condo as joint tenants with right of survivorship after our mother passed away 4 years ago. Since her passing, I tried to negotiate with him to either sell, or buyout. He refused all offers. When my husband and I moved into the property, 2 years after her passing, I continued and always has since her death paid for the upkeep including the association fees, taxes, and other improvements. Fast forward, five months ago, because of his alcoholism and substance abuse, he got kicked out from his apartment and decided to come and live with us. I was in panic. There's no way I can live with him since we do not share similar values. Right away I went on a high gear scouring the internet for an honest and affordable lawyer. Believe me, It was tough! I never thought at my advanced age, (63 years old), I would be needing the service of a lawyer. I often hear bad things about lawyers that they will sit on your case and stall it and just drain you financially. While searching and interviewing numerous lawyers, I started to believe the rumors. I felt undeniably dejected! But wait there is light on the other side of the tunnel!
Enter The Fabulous Ms. Kristin Rhodus! Without getting into too much detail about what led me to Ms. Rhodus in absolute simple words, "she was heaven sent." She understood the problems I was having and quickly dove into the situation. She was able to help me in the situation and gave me a plan of action that put me in a much stronger position. She is someone who cares about her clients, no frills and it's all about action. She's honest, compassionate and straightforward, an admirable quality rare to find in this profession.
