It is hard to find the words to express the sadness and hurt that Michelle caused my family. Because of her, we miss a unique opportunity, wasted money, effort and most importantly... time.
Our process consisted of obtaining two waivers from immigration, I-212 for my wife's deportation order "in absentia", and I-601a for illegal stay. I-212 was approved by immigration in 6 months, and I-601 was denied by immigration after waiting 42 months (3 and a half years). Immigration sent us a letter explaining the reason for the denial, the letter says "By law, in order for the I-601A waiver to be approved, the applicant must have I-212 waiver filed and already approved before submitting the I-601A waiver. It is for this reason that we cannot approve your application." For some reason, due to negligence, lack of interest, or ignorance of the law, Michell sent in both applications at the same time. This meant that we never had a real chance of my wife's case being approved. we were doomed from day one. Furthermore, after consulting with other immigration attorneys about our case, we were told that the I-212 waiver was not the kind of waiver my wife needed because of the in-absentia deportation case. In the end, the waiver they approved for us was of no use to us, and the one we did need was denied because of Michell's negligence. Now my family of four is worse off than when we met Michell. I would give anything to go back in time and make the decision not to hire her. When we confronted Michell with the result of the case, she told us that nothing could be done and that we just had to reapply for the I-601A waiver and wait another 3 years. and that in fact, the I-212 waiver was not really what we needed, but that we had to do was file a petition with an immigration judge to reopen the case. She offered to reopen the case with the judge without any charge for the denial of the case. we decided not to continue with her, and she offered to return $6000 for "unused "fees. We paid a total of around $16000 for the whole process. we paid all this money for nothing, on the contrary, we paid Michell to damage our future in this way because our immigration situation has changed for the worse since we met Michell. I will send a formal complaint to the Florida attorney's office and The Florida Bar Association. I hope this review help some people to make the right decision of hiring Michell, because I wouldn't like this happening to another family.

in respond to your reply, Of course, the irreparable damage you caused us is emotional. You made us waste years waiting for something that never existed. It is understandable that you try to maintain a good reputation for your law firm. I think it is one, if not the most important aspect of your business. I understand that any professional can make a mistake. I am not saying that you are a bad lawyer, what is not understandable is that you try to excuse yourself and blame other situations for the failure of our case when you know that it was absolutely and solely your fault. The only thing you mention that is correct is that you returned us $6,000. But if you put in context that we paid you 6000 for an I-212 that we didn't need, that we paid you $6000 for an I-601A that was denied because you registered at the wrong time, that we paid you around $3000 for investigation of the case and that because of that you should have known which was the correct path to follow... and most importantly, the time wasted by your negligence, don't you think that "your compassion" "or good faith" as you mention it is not much?
As I said before, I will be sending a formal complaint to the Florida Bar Association, with all the documentation we received from immigration. If they conclude that you were not at fault in the outcome of our case, I will gladly recall this review. But if they conclude that if you had acted differently, we would have received a positive outcome, I will also be putting that here.
Do not wish peace to our family, because it was you who took it from us.
