Decided to proceed sans lawyer or Pro Se and filed a CC Eviction case back in Oct 2011 due to an obstinate tenant who refused to vacate. Thought it would be a process and learning challenge I could handle filing for a CC Sheriff summons and Daley Center Court date and as well going on my own would save me a bundle in lawyer fees. After about 6 weeks of filing court appearances, sheriff summons and fees the first eviction court date arrived. I believed my dilemma would be over but was I ever wrong, the case took a wild convoluted turn in which it was beyond my capacity to proceed Pro Se there were special circumstances which arose in which I was not aware of nor trained to counter act in addition during a personal after meeting with the defendants attorney he was combative and uncooperative, truly a disrespectful jerk. It was still early in the day when I got home so I began calling attorney’s trying to find someone to take over but no office would as I had already started the eviction process and on that basis they refused to take my case. Nonetheless felt there had to be an attorney who wouldn’t mind picking up the ball and bam! My persistence paid off with Barry Kreisler’s Law offices. Berry cordially accepted my circumstances. We met that evening and in about two months he won my case, by the end of December 2011 the obstinate tenant had vacated. Berry was professional, amiable and genuinely concerned with my case; by the second court date the special circumstances which had arose was resolved, also the defendants attorney had made a 180 degree personality transformation and by the third eviction court date the tenant was ordered to vacate and all was well in the world again thanks to Berry’s Kreisler’s cordial, knowledgeable and professional expertise in dealing with “Held Over Tenant’s” and as well unlikable rude Defendant attorney’s.
