On 2/3/2020 ( February 3rd, 2020), my elderly parents and I visited the office of Mr. Roseman in Hollywood, Florida. The reason for our visit was to obtain information to plan or help us in preparing paperwork for my father, Mr. Fernando A Conesa. He was rapidly deteriorating due to Advanced Dementia and Alzheimers and saw the need to place him in a nursing home, because his care at home was becoming increasingly difficult and physically impossible for my mother to provide, bathing, feeding and moving him. Mr. Roseman briefly explained what services he offered and he was given a retainer in the amount of $3400.00, we barely made it out of the parking lot when we received a text message from the bank that the check had already been cashed. Documents were emailed to his office, to start the paperwork for Medicaid, which were never completed nor started. We were contacted by his assistant, Alina Aiken simply to inform us that the 2nd retainer of $3400.00 was due, this was personally delivered and left at his office and was also cashed and deposited immediately. Throughout this time, as days passed nothing was done, prepared nor given to myself (as having POA) for my parents, nor were we contacted. There was ONE phone call from Mr. Roseman to myself, simply stating that a change in a property located out of state needed to be addressed. Nothing further, NO paperwork was completed, NO financial planning or assistance of ANY sort was provided by Mr. Roseman and his staff. . At this time, we were just starting to experience the pandemic of COVID -19, and NOTHING further was done. Unfortunately, my father was hospitalized, sent back home and it was decided due to the high probability of him getting infected in a nursing home that he would remain at home. We were able to obtain home health care (on our own) and my father passed away on 5/20/2020.
After numerous attempts to reach his office, both through emails, phone calls, messages, personal calls to his cell phone, no one has ever responded to my questions, not even having the decency to call back or write a response. . There is absolutely NO paper trail that ANY application or financial planning were completed or even begun by his office on behalf of my father or family, since the bank statements and other financial information was not provided to them.
The very WORST experience with an attorney and his staff, and blatantly taking a retainer and the full amount for work that was never done.
