Read MoreUnfortunately, the flaws of Mr.Fleites aren't unique to most attorneys in Miami, FL...but it's unique to me, because his carelessness and nepotism (family members working with/for him) completely ruined the path my life was on, or at least made it that much harder to get my life back together after facing severe felony charges for a crime I did not commit. He basically said "I believe you, but you don't wanna drag it out in a trial...just take a plea and you can go home tonight." no, HE DIDN'T want to drag it out in a trial, despite admitting the state's evidence was shoddy at best...I foolishly took the carrot he dangled in front of me with the words "go home tonight" and haven't been the same since.
After speaking to several friends and family who work in Criminal Justice, the bottom line is that he absolutely "did me dirty," in laymen's terms.
