She showed up 15 minutes late to it!During our meeting, she took a call on her mobile (which, although unprofessional, was excusable, as she said she was a guardian and needed to take the call).To help her understand our situation, I phoned our accountant on speaker, so Sandra could ask questions and clarify. Sandra became combative with our accountant (who was restrained and remained courteous - later I called and apologized for the lawyer's bad behavior).In the middle of the flow of our appointment, she suddenly announced that she would have to charge us a consultation fee of $600 ("Oh, did I not mention that before?" she said) if we talked any further. Begrudgingly, we agreed. In the end, she quoted a fee of just under $10,000 to do the work.We then contacted Christine Hogan in Port Washington, who completed our POAs, Living Wills, and HCPs for under $4000.A waste of $600. Rude and discourteous. Wildly overpriced.
