I hired him as my divorce attorney after my husband had left me, our newborn and my 10 year old daughter, and left me with nothing and no income. I had a friend pay the retainer, and mr. Dawson was well aware of my situation and acted as if he would work with me financially and get me and my girls "what we deserve". Even though he personally knew my father, and my step mother worked for him at the time she passed away from cancer, he still was an absolute disappointment. He not only asked for money every time he knew I received child support, stimulus check or my taxes, but over charged for motions/investigations that I never asked for. He failed to mention that my ex husband asked that us 3 sit down to discuss outside of courts, all while I thought he wanted nothing to do with me or our infant daughter. He cares nothing about family, he will schedule motions to charge u more, and is attempting to put a lien on my bank acct even though I've paid him ALL income i've received the past 6 months. He does not communicate anything of upcoming hearings, does not call or recieve calls prior to or after important hearings, so any questions you have will always stay unanswered. The more you stress about what is important for you and your family, the less he cares to bring it up. But be damn sure he will file another motion about it, because that is another $1k in his pocket.
He is a joke of an attorney, and I am embarrassed to have someone like him represent me in such an important case for me and my family. Do NOT make the same mistake I did.. DO NOT HIRE HIM.
