The process was made more complicated than some in that, while our father had lived very close to Mr. Meeks's office, my brother and I live 800 miles away in Philadelphia. The office was extremely accommodating with us, however. Mr. Meeks was friendly, efficient, and effective. I want to put in a huge note of thanks to Karol Whitaker, the paralegal who was our main contact and the go-between between us and Mr. Meeks. It was a genuine pleasure working with Ms. Whitaker. She is intelligent, kind, and very clear-thinking. Best of all, she is an excellent communicator, both in person and over email. She never failed to respond quickly to our questions. Her presence in the office is a big plus to anyone who is lucky enough to work with her.
