If you've come across Clean Slate Law, it’s probably by no coincidence that you’re reading this review. To be quite honest I don't think people would read my entire review if I said all I had to say. In early 2021 I began searching for representation for my pardon application and was met with the challenge that it can be finding someone to work for you and with you. When I contacted Riley, and Angi I didn't have hopes that'd I'd be able to get the representation and help with the process I was looking for. To add to that living outside the state I thought would make it even more difficult.
After our first meeting and I'm pretty sure that with a considerable amount of discernment Riley decided to rise to the challenge my case would be. The collaboration and communication with Riley and Angi at times made me feel like I was their highest priority. Throughout the process Riley did an exceptional job with transparency with me and kept my expectations in line with the difficulty of my particulars.
On the day of my hearing, I walked into it with no more expectation than to possibly get 2 out of 5 votes as a yes, but I knew aside from proof that'd I'd submitted about who I am today that I'd have an opportunity speak on my behalf. At the conclusion of Riley’s introduction and me speaking the panel called out their votes. It went panel member 1 yes, panel member 2 yes. I think Riley and I were both probably about as tight as knot at that moment. Panel member 3 yes, but it didn't stop there. Panel member 4 yes, Panel member 5 yes. The emotion that ran through both of us I'm sure was electric. The vote of that panel opened the door to the possibility that'd I'd be able to finish nursing school.
The day Riley called me, on if I recall correctly August 17th, and told me my pardon was granted was one of the most significant days in my life. This meant I had the opportunity to pursue my personal pursuit to help people in some of the worst days of their lives. This is like what Riley and Angi did in helping me in some of the hardest days in my life. At the conclusion of everything I almost felt as if we were family. I live a life of trying to deliver care, hope, and compassion to my patients and all those I meet and this is exactly what Riley and Angi do at Clean Slate Law. Without any doubt at all my life wouldn't be what it is today if we hadn't accepted each other’s request and offer for representation. When we joined together, we did so as a team and we set out to accomplish what seemed to be near impossible.
