6 years ago, Mr. Campbell (Rich) was referred to our roofing company to address roof leaks and ice damming on their Schweitzer Condo. Just speaking to Mr. Campbell over the phone I knew he was a warm and caring person...and liked to laugh. My husband met Mr. Campbell at the condo to assess the damages, and they quickly hit it off, realized they both were business owners and had a mutual respect for each other's professions. We fixed the ice dam problem and associated leaks, which later turned into a metal reroof for the entire building. Shortly after working for Mr. Campbell on the condo, we needed a lawyer's assistance with a persnickety customer---20yrs of business without needing a lawyer, and the timing couldn't have been more perfect, because Mr. Campbell specializes in construction law.
Mr. Campbell invited my husband to their office in Spokane---which by the way is a tastefully refurbished older mansion that speaks volumes in comfort and welcoming atmosphere, right down to the soft carpet you'd want to wriggle your toes in! Low and behold, down the stairs came Mr. Campbell....barefoot and dressed for a BBQ----my husband was hooked!! From that moment, our business relationship with Rich Campbell began, a great friendship resulted, and has been a blessing ever since.
Campbell & Bissell's staff are very knowledgeable in construction law, efficient and attentive to customers, and very punctual with communications. We recently consulted with Rich a second time to handle our sub-contractor involvement (plaintiff) with a major General Contractor's demise (defendant). Rich once again handled the case with ease and encouragement, while maintaining his super friendly disposition. During the COVID crises, Rich connected us with his associate, William Hughbanks (another blessing from Campbell & Bissell), to assist with COVID questions/concerns). Mr. Hughbanks was our go-to guy during COVID who soothed our anxiety with any uncertainties we had. Thank you Mr. Hughbanks !!!
Recently, our local 'Journal of Business" (local construction/small business newsprint) did an excellent "must read" article on Campbell & Bissell (September 23, 2021 issue) telling how Campbell & Bissell came to be. We believe their relationship will last for all time. Although we've never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Bissell (Mike), the article's photograph of Rich and Mike both laughing --- says it all. They met in college, are former Marines (thank you for your service gentlemen !!) and now own/operate their own firm. Clients, such as ourselves, are quick to learn that Rich (Campbell) and Mike (Bissell) "are there and care," ..... not just cashing in. No suits, no ties, and in Rich's case.....no shoes. They love their work and enjoy taking care of people.
