Read MoreI scheduled an appointment with Dan and his legal team over a week in advance to discuss setting up a Asset Protection Trust for my mother. I even took time off from work specifically for this discussion. Just 2 hours before our scheduled meeting, I was asked to fill out an 8-page questionnaire. I scrambled to complete it in time only to have the meeting cancelled at the last minute.
Despite being assured that their firm could service anyone in Indiana remotely, I was told my mother's location outside of Warsaw, IN was the reason for the cancellation. When I voiced my frustrations about the wasted time and the late notice of cancellation, the assistant consulted with Dan and then informed me that they would not recommend a trust due to the assets being "too little". This came off as an insincere excuse, contradicting their previous reason, and revealed an unsettling lack of transparency and communication.
It's especially disappointing to be turned away based on asset size, particularly when it is substantial enough to justify a trust. I find it deeply disrespectful that the value of my time and the seriousness of my inquiries were disregarded in such a way.
If you are considering using their services, I would recommend seeking legal advice elsewhere.
