Read MoreI had a terrible experience with this attorney. She got her $10,000 retainer and then did nothing. I filled out my paperwork and paid the retainer cost before my ex, and she took forever to file it, which caused me to become the defendant in the case when I should have been the plaintiff. This hurt me going forward with the judge assigned to my case. Alisha also dropped me without notice 3 days before an emergency hearing set up by my ex’s attorney. She dropped me because I would not put a restraining order on one of my friends. I called everywhere to find a new attorney before the hearing, and got stuck with an even worse attorney who was extremely inexperienced. As a result, I lost everything during my divorce, and it honestly all started with the foul actions of Alisha Ankers. Later on, she sent my parents a partial refund from my initial retainer. Then a few weeks after that, she followed up with an additional bill that I supposedly owed her firm along with a referral card telling my parents to recommend her services to their (wealthy) friends. What an absolute clown. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone. I also see she is running for Cass County District Court Judge, and I hope that she does not get voted in! I am just warning people of her practices, and to please consider this before hiring her firm or voting her in for judge.
