We were disappointed with our stay at Yellowwood.
First of all, I called three times , once the week before and twice the day of arrival, and no one returned a call until after I contacted the third party booking service about an overcharge. (The reasons for my calls were not related to the overcharge.)/ The hotel charged 10.00 more than the booking service, which they did refund after calling me. However, it is quite appalling that this place cares so little about your business with them that they never find the time to call you back over a week's time.
There is no office or person on site for any assistance. We arrived about 2:00 and did not get any check in instructions until 3:30pm by email. Check in is at 4, which is clearly stated, but most places will allow you to check in early if the rooms are ready. There was two or three cars the complete weekend, so its not like they were busy getting rooms ready. They simply do not care about your experience at their establishment.
Our freezer was frozen over, see photo. The fridge froze everything, so we had to go buy ice to keep things cold.
Yes, having a hot tub in your room is a great thing. However, it was so overfilled that as soon as you got in, water would splash over the side and saturate the floor below. So the towels were used to dry up water, not dry off ourselves.
It takes FOREVER for the water to warm up. However, the water pressure is nonexistent in the shower. Literally, there is not enough water pressure to rinse the soap off of your body. Its really unbelievable how bad that was.
We loved visiting Brown County and the Nashville IN downtown shops. We enjoyed that part of our stay and will be going back, but will never stay at the Yellowwood again.
