Cons: After over 11 hours of driving from Tennessee, we were beyond tired and ready for a great hot shower and an awesome night's rest!!! That. Did. Not. Happen!!!!
1. The water from the shower head just sat at us...it was so weak!!! It did not improve for the duration of our stay! The water temperature was great although the pressure was disgusting!
2. The bathroom door looked as if it had suffered water damage...it was warped and did not securely close.
3. Both beds had HAIR in them!!! One bed had 3 small pieces so, I thought we could make it through the night by sleeping in the other bed. Unfortunately, there was a 4 inch long brunette strand of hair in that bed!!!!!! Now , I am angry and tired!!!!
4. It took over an hour to get clean linens because by that time , after 8 pm, only one person was manning the front desk. I had to get dressed and go get the linen because the phone had died too!!!!
5. The pillows smelled of sweaty body odor!!!
6. I was offered a refund the next day after 11 for the remainder of our itinerary however, due the holiday availability within the area, there weren't any rooms available anywhere else!!!
7. I requested a partial refund/reduction in the daily rate with Shannon however the manager nor district manager never responded or called me back!!!
8. There were strands of hair in the microwave and refrigerator!!!! I cleaned out the microwave because we needed to use it that night we arrived. Shannon asked housekeeping to come clean our room the next morning to which I asked her to A. Remake our beds. B. Dust off the headboards. C. Clean the kitchenette/refrigerator. The hair was still in the door/butter section!!! I feel/think the housekeepers use the same cloth to clean all their assigned rooms which transfers hair from room to room....very unsanitary and nasty 🤢!!!
Synopsis: This was our first and last time staying at this location. We have stayed at the Great Bridge located twice a few years ago and never experienced any issues! We spent $652.00/June 26-July 3. I did not get what I paid for!!! We will never stay here again!!!
