I stayed at the Marriott Dolphin Hotel for four nights in August 2025 while attending a business conference. I requested a room on an upper floor, away from the elevator banks, and ideally with a decent view. Upon check-in, I was assigned a room on the 16th floor near the elevators with a view overlooking the hotel’s rooftop. While the location was not ideal, I was relieved that noise from the elevator area was minimal throughout my stay.
The room itself was acceptable but uninspiring. The décor felt bland and outdated, with furnishings and finishes showing signs of age. The bathroom fixtures, including the shower head and mirror, were particularly worn and in need of replacement. The photos attached reflect the dated condition and plain styling of the room.
Service was polite, and Andrew Herms, the representative who handled my request, listened but ultimately placed me in a room that did not fully align with what I asked for—especially disappointing since the hotel was not fully booked. I believe a more thoughtful room assignment could have provided a better guest experience.
Overall, while my stay was manageable, the room fell short of expectations for a Marriott-branded property. A refresh of the décor and fixtures, along with more attentive room assignments, would go a long way in improving the guest experience at the Dolphin Hotel.
