My stay at the Tru by Hilton in St. Charles was, in most respects, adequate. The hotel's public spaces were clean and organized, aligning with the brand's contemporary aesthetic. The room, too, was clean and provided the usual necessities. The climate control worked well, a point I always appreciate. However, the bed presented a significant problem. It had a deep sag in the middle, which led to back discomfort the following day. While I understand the Tru brand aims for a modern, social atmosphere—the open lobby and 24/7 market being examples—the fundamental comfort of the bed should not be overlooked. The experience was acceptable, but the bed's condition detracted from what could have been a more restful stay. I trust the management will examine and address this issue for future guests.
