During check in and during my stay I requested an upgrade because i’m a Marriott reward member. My request was denied several times and I never received an upgrade which is unusual for Marriott!
The rooms are outdated. In my particular room, the curtains were dry rotted with holes in them and the screen to the window had holes in it.
The shower water pressure Is weak and during my stay, there was no hot water at times.
When I would go outside of my room, it was a moldy smell that made me sick to my stomach
There was a annoying dog, staying across the hallway, barking all the time
Some of the wash cloths were torn on the edges that should have been thrown away
Housekeeping was nonchalant. I had to request housekeeping because I did not get it the first two nights, Then when I finally got a housekeeper, she said it was just a refresh, but I tipped her $10 so she did clean the whole room and I asked her to return daily to keep it clean. She never did. I was there for seven nights
They lock the doors, unlike other Marriotts to where the refreshments are. One day I went into the small lobby that doesn’t even look like a lobby, lol and I saw that the door was open, I went to get juice, there were people sitting there and after I got the juice a lady who worked there rudely complained to me about it. Then went to the front desk and complained also. Saying now she will have to clean the machine,.
After calling this location for several days, they finally offered me 3,000 points. My stay cost over 45,000 points. I refused the 3,000 points.
I don’t recommend you stay here. There is a courtyard Marriott in front of this towneplace suites. Now I get why this motel is in the back of courtyard because they don’t want this motel to be seen. Because it definitely did not feel like a hotel. I thought I was in a motel.
I will be calling the 1 800 number to hopefully get more points than 3000
Even though my experience with one employee, the front desk staff was very polite.
