On a rainy day when you may be "in" more than "out" there is no room to be comfortable (sit, except for the bed). Courtney provided many small details to make it special, wine, water, snacks. We prepaid for a 3 night stay, we were already on the fence about the 3rd night and there is no cancellation policy that I could find. We notified her that we may leave early and she quickly responded to let her know and she would refund the 3rd night. My husband had an allergic reaction when we first arrived and we suspected some sort of animal in the property (night 1). That sealed the deal on the early departure. We left by check out on the 2nd day, and communicated with her that we were out. A week after we arrived home, I sent an email to see if the owner would refund us the 3rd night, and no response. We loved our time in Charleston, the room and location were "okay". Had the owner told us that she would not refund us, we may have stayed the 3rd night. That was a disappointment to us. You can tell that she has put a lot of love into the property, but I was disappointed in not getting a refund for our 3rd night that we clearly had communicated about. If there is a cancellation policy, it should be on the website or the emails upon booking.
