I am completing this review regarding the unacceptable experience at The Champagne Lodge involving unsanitary conditions, poor customer service, and misrepresentation by management.
My husband and I checked into an Executive Suite at approximately 5:00 PM on August 22, 2025. After settling in, we used the in-room hot tub and noticed black debris and hair floating in the water. Upon closer inspection, we discovered the debris was being emitted from the hot tub jets. Concerned for our health and safety, we exited the tub immediately and showered to remove the contaminants.
We then went to the front desk to check out and request a refund, having spent about 3 hours in the room. As requested, I submitted photo and video evidence of the debris via email to support our refund request.
The response I received from the individual identifying as the General Manager was not only dismissive but contained false claims. He stated that we were offered an alternative room and declined—this is categorically untrue. No such offer was made, and we were not shown any video evidence to support this claim. When I contacted the front desk to clarify, I was met with unprofessional and discourteous behavior and was repeatedly told to “send an email,” despite having already done so. I told the rude front desk person that I would gladly go to the hotel to see the video they claim to have of me and my husband declining an offer to move to another room and the lady said "just send an email". I'm sure they do not have any video of me and my husband declining to be moved to another room because we were NEVER offered to be moved to another room!
To date, the hotel has refused to issue a refund and has not provided any resolution. The conditions of the room were unsanitary, and the handling of our complaint has been dishonest and disrespectful.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! THEY ARE RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND TELL LIES TO COVER UP THEIR UNSANITARY CONDITIONS!!
