All around, the hotel is super solid. Staff — front desk, housekeeping, and valet — were all incredibly friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful. The interior of the hotel is chic, unique, and modern. The room was clean, well-designed and spacious. I didn’t eat onsite but the bar/restaurant had a great vibe. Location wise, there’s easy access to other areas without much lift, though immediate walkability is limited (which is on par for Dallas in my book). Slept great thanks to a comfy bed with good linens. Two callouts that I don’t think are significant enough to deduct a star but worth noting:
1) The building exterior is dated if not busted once you explore the self parking options along the side. Technically I’m staying inside the hotel, not outside, so this is an observation instead of a negative. Plus, it’s clear they repurposed a building which is a good thing in terms of reducing waste.
2) Parking options are unclear on the website with both valet and other parking saying the same price noted which is wrong. As of 2/2, valet is $39/day with cheaper self park options that, even when explained by the valet and the employee who answered my call whilst idling in the maybe-self-park area, were confusing as heck. The cheaper options also felt less safe come nightfall for a solo female traveler. Anyway, parking feels like an exploitive money grab but the more time I spent in Dallas the more this came across as a citywide theme. Trans: can’t blame the hotel for following the norm.
With 350+ Marriot nights under my belt, I’d say The Beeman is kinda on par with an Autograph brand but with better prices. I’d definitely stay here again if in Dallas.
