While visiting the Des Moines area, I stayed at the Super 8 in Clive and had a very pleasant experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. The rooms were fresh, clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet.

My only minor complaint is that the pillow top mattresses, were a bit too soft for my preference. This, combined with the mattress pad and fitted sheet, caused the bedding to shift a bit when sleeping and getting in and out of bed. It’s an easy fix, though, and certainly not a deal-breaker.
The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to major roads, and the parking lot is spacious and well lit — a nice bonus for late arrivals. I’ll definitely be booking here again when I’m passing through the area.
