We only stayed for one night on a Friday. We used Booking.com, so there were no issues with the price changing like others stated since it was prepaid. We were trying to book any hotel in the area, but for whatever reason, the hotel prices jumped from $89-$139 a night to all over $300 a night for this particular Friday. We found Sun Retreats online and thought the idea of a cabin was a great alternative to a hotel, and the price was half the cost. Now common sense people know that a cabin is not going to be a luxury hotel, but I'm telling you, it was a great decision. You get your private cabin. You get to park right in front of your cabin, so no walking down hallways and up and down elevators to get to your room. To me, it looks like a tiny house. Full kitchen, sofa, TV, bathroom, bedroom, and even a loft with 2 other beds. Outside, you have your own picnic table and bbq pit. Was it fancy? No. It was exactly what I expected, but it had everything you needed if you wanted to cook. It even has a phone charger built into the couch. It was quiet since there is no one above or below you like in a hotel. The property is very well maintained and was very clean. They have numerous amenities on site, including an outdoor and an indoor pool, playground, volleyball, and basketball, just to name a few. We saw no bugs whatsoever in our cabin like others reported. The office staff were extremely welcoming and polite, and checkout is a breeze. Just drop the key in the checkout box. This is a great alternative to the high-priced hotels in the area. I would highly recommend you try something different and give them a shot. I'm glad we found Sun Retreats Texas Hill Country.
PS: The only negative is that if you're over 6'2", you will have a hard time fitting in the shower.
