This hotel could be great but it is not. The facilities themselves are clean, modern, and comfortable. The location is safe, though a bit out of the way. It’s a drive to get to anything. All the issues with this hotel are related to staffing levels, training, and possibly attitude.
If you request that they not clean your room on certain days they will ignore you or fail to communicate the request to housekeeping… repeatedly. Their “do not disturb” and “no cleaning needed” cards are tiny refrigerator magnets that do not stick to the door or anywhere useful. They run out of basics like catchup and don’t replace them. The elevator is fast, but seems to either be under maintenance or being cleaned at times of the day when it’s needed the most, such as the hours people are checking in. Most of the time there is no one at the front desk, and there is no bell to ask for attention, so you need to call out for them. The staff presents as friendly and professional, but there are all the signs that they are underpaid and understaffed.
On the bright side the kitchen has almost everything you need (though I did have to go buy a sponge when the front desk couldn’t be bothered to find one). I was happy to find a traditional coffee maker and not a single serving Keurig type nuisance. There is an actual stovetop, not just a microwave. The refrigerator is full size. If you cook your meals while traveling these things matter. The beds and pillows are wonderful. The room itself is fantastic. Unlike many hotels in the area, I have no concerns about car break-ins or homeless people camping in the area.
