I can bike ride or walk a quarter mile walk to the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier to visit him while he fishes. The hotel has a refreshing pool and lazy river, steps from the beautiful white sandy beaches and clear blue water, chair and umbrella rentals, delicious restaurants, Beach House Social and quick bites at Emera’s, delicious ice cream sweets and treats at Whitecaps, free snacks daily from 12-1, and movies on Saturday night! Our room faced the gulf. This place, and its staff, even with a small-well-large issue that the hotel had no control over, made us feel like we were their number one priority. We did not experience mold issues (although the vents could use a good wipe down on the interior levers) or AC issues in our room, others may have had. We are aware of the drink cooler vs refrigerator, so I’d press the button once in a while to keep a couple drinks cold. Anytime I walked through that lobby the ladies working the days, and James, night shift manager, always greeted me. He remained so calm when the main water line to the island was damaged, causing the restaurants to close and the hotel to have no water for showers or sanitation, he was calm and as helpful as he could be, even passing out bottles of water. The water was out on the entire island, for about 5 hours. These things happen and we just made the best of it. But the icing on my birthday cake, or should I say cheesecake was….to have a staff member knock on our door, wish me happy birthday, and give me a slice of cheesecake with a note from the front desk staff. Of course we will be back. This place is just a nice all-in-one respite away from home. What a great staff
