This is not just an issue of aesthetics or comfort—it’s a serious health and safety concern. The fact that housekeeping could miss such a glaring problem is inexcusable and shows a complete lack of attention to basic cleanliness standards.
I immediately contacted the front desk, and while staff were apologetic, the response was sluggish and underwhelming. I had to request new sheets but the damage was done. When you’re paying for a night’s rest, the very least you should expect is a clean bed.
I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to retrain their housekeeping staff and implement stricter quality control measures. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone with even the most basic expectations of hygiene. A phone call to the state along with the pictures I have taken.
Lastly, I attempted to place a food order to my room. The server hesitated and told me she couldn’t take my order because the restaurant was “completely booked” and that she’d get in trouble with her manager. She also mentioned the kitchen would be closing in 30 minutes. Fair enough — so I went downstairs just 10 minutes later, only to find her again. This time, without letting me speak or even look at a menu, she abruptly told me everything was closed. I wasn’t even given the courtesy of ordering a drink.
This level of neglect is unacceptable and would have been properly addressed and compensated at any other reputable hotel.
It doesn’t even deserve one star.
