It's so sad to see this location being mismanaged. It's an ideal location in Bend! A little renovation and some better staff, and this place would shine! We were here for 5 nights (Sun-Fri) for a conference. Checked in and were given a run down on how broke the motel is, staff are going to get fired, night staff are drug addicts, they're in competition with riverhouse etc. Super unprofessional and inappropriate. Our room could have been awesome! We had a giant tub and fireplace. But this place is broke and it's obvious. We were left with four squares of tp and the new roll sitting on the counter. Two sinks and we were given ONE hand towel and ONE soap! Two towels for 2 people staying 5 nights with a giant tub! Could have at least given us 4 towels! We had to go get more towels several times because our room was never cleaned the entire week! The toilet was running when we came in and the heat was set to 78! Yikes! That's way too warm and what a waste of electricity. My poor husband had to trapse all over the property trying to find an ice machine that works because putting a sign on all of them saying the ONLY working ice machine is in building two on the SECOND FLOOR, is too much to ask. He literally hit every building and ended up at the office and then had to go back to building 2. My husband's card stopped working Monday. Awesome since we weren't together and he had to go up and get a new one. For some reason they only had him down for one night. Weird. We had NO coffee maker. Odd. Asked for one Monday (we had check in on Sunday) and were told we'd get one on Tuesday as they didn't have any staff to deliver one. Didn't come Tuesday. Wednesday my card stopped working so another trip to the office where I again asked for the coffee maker. Finally got it delivered to our room with ONE coffee mug. WTH? One of the jets is broken in the tub. Not a huge deal but still... The toilet runs at random through out the day and night. We had to get more tp from the office because no one ever came to restock us or clean our room. And for two people staying, we had ONE glass for the week - no plastic cups either. So again, another trip to the office. This location on the river is gorgeous. But sadly, this isn't where I'd stay ever again. It's sad and neglected.
