📢❗🚨Stay Away! - Disappointing ❌ Our recent stay at Saddlebrook Resort was not what we had hoped for. While the check-in process went smoothly enough, the staff at the front desk were far from welcoming almost outright rude which was a rough way to start our trip. One of the more frustrating parts of our stay was the need to be shuttled between our room and the Welcome center just to access our car. It was inconvenient and made getting around more difficult than it should be. You have to call the font desk and ask for a ride in a golf cart to get around. Not a good way to manage things! The room itself was extremely underwhelming. It felt old, worn down, and in serious need of a full renovation. To make matters worse, the sliding glass door in our room had only a sheer curtain no privacy whatsoever for my wife and I. Anyone walking by outside could see directly into our room, day or night. That is completely unacceptable and made us feel uncomfortable the entire stay. (See Photo) 👎🏼 A particularly unpleasant moment was when I went to get ice. The condition of the room that housed the ice and laundry machines was frankly shocking. The ice machine appeared to have been out of order for years, and the area was filthy — not something you'd expect to see anywhere, let alone at a resort. It was genuinely unacceptable. (See Photos) 🤢 That said, I do want to acknowledge the valet staff, who were timely, friendly, and seemed to be doing their best to make guests feel taken care of. They were a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. I understand that the resort is currently undergoing renovations, but that doesn’t excuse the overall poor condition of the property. The lack of upkeep, cleanliness, and basic maintenance across the board was unacceptable and made the entire experience feel neglected. We felt ripped off for the price we paid to stay there. This resort clearly has potential, but it’s currently falling way short in too many areas. Until significant improvements are made, I can’t recommend it.
