Beautiful location, lovely people at the front desk! They even upgraded us to a river view room since it was after the holidays and the area had cleared out. It was so nice of them! Room was clean, comfy and it all just really felt...Read More

I took my 14 year old daughter as well as my 77 year old mother for a day on Cumberland Island. We stayed at the inn Friday and Saturday night. My brother and I have stayed there before. From my prior experience, the inns location,...Read More
VacationFamilyLocation: 5Double room 2 single beds,1 queen, single bath. Room 8. Right at the balcony.Right across from the Cumberland Island ferry. Submarine museum, lots of fun to be had in walking distance.Nice area, no evil doers, everyone from locals to other travelers were awesome! No problems, my 77 year old mother had no issues. Automobile traffic was extremely courteous.Close by and all good. If you have food allergies you may be limited depending on your circumstances. This is why I give such praise to the most excellent staff at the inn. Before your visit talk to the staff at the inn about any special requirements you may have. They do great picnic lunches for day trips to the island. Take lots of pictures, sun screen, an easy to set up shelter for the beach(very windy), nothing heavy to carry. Good walking shoes. There are water stations at the camp site, ranger station, and the first dock. Ask about the junior ranger program, I am 53 and love getting my patches and pins! Most important, DO NOT MISS THE BOAT!!Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value

The Riverview is a historic 1916 hotel in downtown St. Marys right across the street from the ferry to Cumberland Island, and has a very out-of-the-way feel to it, making it a relaxing stop. The rooms are comfortable and there is a public study...Read More

The room was clean. Understandably, the building is very old. However, the noise from the various bars and the karaoke bar next door makes for an unpleasant stay. Checked out early that evening; I didn’t even stay the night. I shouldn't have to blare the...Read More

We enjoy staying at the Riverview Hotel and having dinner before trips to Cumberland Island. Interesting historic hotel, helpful people, and good food in one place. Also, try a local draft beer at the bar.

Seagle's Restaurant - a must-stop. The shrimp and grits are smack-yo-mama good. The wait staff is phenomenal. The bar has everything you need or want. Dine outside and catch the vibes.
