We were down in Ames for the ISU football game and booked this hotel for $200 through Travelocity. When we arrived, nobody was around for 10 minutes while we rang the doorbell on the desk. Once the owner arrived, he couldn’t find our reservation but continued to look for another 10 minutes and waited for us to ask “Is everything ok” and then he asked us to show him proof that we had a reservation. After doing that he looked again for 5 minutes and said that he’s had problems with Travelocity. Mind you we booked this 1 month in advance to ensure no issues and called and spoke with them about early check-in under our reservation. When we explained this and our fear of not having a hotel because they all fill for the game, he started raising his voice and telling us that it’s not his fault and not to make it his problem?!?! He wanted us to call Travelocity and cancel the reservation and pay him cash for a new one. We called Travelocity and they said that the reservation is in his system and attempted to call him, he refused to answer their calls. HE’S A SCAMMER. Thankfully Travelocity put us up in a hotel down the road. YIKES, you’ve been warned!!
