This was one of the worst hotel experiences my family has ever had we will never stay here again. The issue isn’t with the staff —they were polite and tried their best — but with the owner, who is clearly more focused on saving money than providing basic comfort or safety.
Here’s what happened room 221 then moved to 111
• No air conditioning in the front desk/lobby, hallways, or rooms. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially in extreme heat.
• My parents were first given Room 111, and later Room 221 — both had the AC turned off, so they entered into an oven-like space.
• The fridge in Room 221 was off and leaking water, creating a mess and a safety hazard.
• Because of the heat, my parents experienced dizziness and discomfort — a real danger for older guests.
• Shockingly, even the hotel employee at the front desk was suffering in that heat. The owner doesn’t even care about his own staff’s working conditions.
• We personally informed Choice Hotels about this situation, and I hope they take immediate action. This level of negligence should not be allowed under any hospitality brand.
• Meanwhile, the owner is enjoying life with his family, while completely ignoring the fact that he’s putting other families — and children — in danger by cutting corners.
This isn’t just bad hospitality — it’s irresponsible and dangerous. I urge other travelers to think twice before booking here. Comfort, safety, and basic decency are the bare minimum, and this hotel fails on all counts.
