This hotel needs to be inspected and shut down immediately. Choice Hotels should be EMBARRASED to have this property affiliated with them. There is no way they are health compliant. Our room #205 was absolutely disgusting when we checked in. There was food, hair, an empty liquor bottle left in a nightstand drawer, and a pack of tortillas left in a drawer near the microwave. The microwave itself was dirty, the bathtub is FILTHY, and the walls have patches of paint that don't even match the original paint. Every time our split unit AC turned on, the lights flickered off, there was a lot of questionable activity outside in the early morning hours, and there was some random guy sleeping in his wheelchair/scooter outside, near the outside stairwell. Should have taken the fact when we were walking in the door to check in, a cop car was strolling through the property. Red Flag #1. It's just a very weird and uncomfortable place. Website stated it was no smoking rooms, however, 2 mornings in a row, someone's smoke alarm went off and you can smell the cigarette smoke. Just the absolute worst stay of our lives. There is no way this property is up to code and follows the guidelines of what it takes to be a Choice Hotels property. The front desk staff was incredibly rude that day when I called to ask about a late check in, possibly not arriving until the next day. He sighed and hung up on me. It is evident they do not care about guest satisfaction and cleanliness. There was no point complaining about the condition of the room. They probably left it that way on purpose because they probably felt I was asking too difficult of a question and made their job hard. There is no way this hotel should be open to the public. We attended a wedding, which this place was near and chose to stay here being a Choice Hotels property, thinking there was some sort of standard they followed. You couldn't pay me to stay here. BELIEVE every single negative review you read. I CANNOT believe this place is open to the public and actually charges money. The Health Dept. needs to inspect this place immediately. There is no way in Hell anyone would leave a 5-star review. No way!! Just Gross.
