However, apparently there is a difference between a studio and moderate apartment, which is NOT made clear in the listing. Listing also claims it’s “brimming with Hawaiian hospitality” and that couldn’t be further from the truth either. The front desk staff is straight up rude. I messaged the host about a discrepancy because I specifically reached out to make sure resort fees were optional (as they are not listed under mandatory fees) as we did not plan to use them, and he told me they were. The front staff said it didn’t matter if we planned to use them, resort fees are mandatory at $35 per day, plus $33 per day for WiFi. When messaging the host about this and the lack of kitchenette, he basically said it was my fault for not reading the listing thoroughly enough and barely even apologized. I had to get Airbnb customer service involved to find a resolution. Not that nice of a place. Not even in the best location. The literal only good thing I have to say about this place is they allowed baggage hold for free. Other than that, stay away.
