This is a fun concept motel, and this is why we decided to give it a chance. Madison is a great place for us to stop for the night when driving back from FL, and I'm tired of rooms and ACs smelling like mildew or worse (I'm in the trade). This is a fairly recent reno with a fun twist, and they installed mini-splits, which is a plus, so we stopped.
Pictures are misleading for sure. I booked the least expensive but also smallest room last minute, and still paid $145 for one night! Some other hotels down the road are 1/2 - 2/3 that price with bigger rooms, but yes, apples and peaches since this GA.
The place was not even half full, so no last minute deals for a room where you could barely walk around the bed, very little space for luggage, and the bathroom reminded me of our first house but smaller... Nowhere to put any toiletry but a long mirror going down to a tiny sink. Not sure what the concept is here, but practicality was not kept in mind. Nice towels and products, though.
The main hotel sign needs TLC, and the brick wall needs pressure washing. Keep the place appealing if you're going to charge that kind of money!
We might try a larger room next time, but one thing is sure, DO NOT get a room next to the ice machine...
I'm not even sure you can change room since there is no staff on site.
