Read MoreI don’t need nice, I just need clean. I was fine with just a clean place for us to lay our heads. Booked through “My6” on the motel 6 site and was told I didn’t have a reservation. When I found the email and showed her, she said “oh that’s at the My 6”, so I asked how I got there and she said it’s the same place. There were no rooms available like I booked though. It was nearly 2am, so I said “well, I need a room with beds.” We round the corner to ride the elevator and see a pile of trash that looks like a room has been cleaned out from someone living there. Immediately cockroaches are running everywhere, including AT US. We get on the elevator and go upstairs. Go into our room where it’s hot and smells like cigarette smoke. There’s a 1inch gap under the door, so we put towels down to keep a roaches from coming in. There were yellow stains on the bed and the bathroom door didn’t lock were our first night finds. We go to bed, but I couldn’t sleep thinking about the roaches and probably bug beds with all that trash down on the sidewalk. In the morning I go to shower- there is a lipstick kiss on the door the the bathroom, hair on the wall in the shower, footprints on the door to the bathroom, dirt on the floor in the bathroom, a toenail on the counter where the sink is, there are more feet marks on the back of the front door. This place is just dirty and clearly used more for long term stays than a couple night stays. We checked out the next morning because I didn’t know what kind of riffraff was staying here and I didn’t want the teenage girls with me subject to that.
