Read MoreI have never experienced anything as outrageous as my recent encounter with maverick suites/ whimstay. Let me be very clear: this place operates like a scam. I booked a stay, but the conditions of the room were completely unacceptable—so bad that I had to leave within minutes of arriving. There were bed bugs on the bed, dust-filled AC filters, and an environment that was unsafe for anyone. I immediately contacted the front desk and management, explained the situation in detail, and was assured that a refund would be processed.
Instead, what did I receive? A partial refund that doesn’t even cover ONE NIGHT of the stay. This is not just disappointing; it’s fraudulent. I provided documentation and even a screenshot proving that my stay was canceled, yet they continue to withhold money that clearly does not belong to them.
It is beyond clear that this business profits off of deceiving guests. Multiple reviews from other travelers describe the exact same nightmare—dirty rooms, dishonest management, and incomplete refunds. This is a pattern of behavior, not a mistake.
I will be pursuing legal action and reporting this company to every consumer protection agency available, including the Better Business Bureau. I am also prepared to escalate this publicly, including contacting local news outlets, so that others are warned about how this establishment treats paying customers.
To anyone considering a stay here: do not make the same mistake I did. Protect yourself and your money, stay far away from maverick suites at 400 Columbus ave!!!!
