Ray, the night manager, checked us in at around 11pm and he was quite cordial. He gave us the key to our room and we went. We opened the door, but someone was still in the room. We immediately backed out and used the hallway phone to call Mike, but he couldn’t hear us, so we took all our stuff back down to the front desk. He apologized profusely, said this has only happened one other time 👀 and offered us an upgrade to a business sweet (106, 206,306,406) for our trouble, saying we would enjoy the view of the park. We cheerfully accepted and he gave us a key for 407. When I reminded him that he told us he was giving is 406, he brushed it off and said the rooms are the same. They weren’t. The only view we had was of a white building and a tree. 😑 Ray misled us.
The only other thing that kept us from giving this beautiful, clean place 5-stars were the extra fees. What is a ‘wellness fee’? Just increase the room-rate upfront so we don’t end up scratching our heads when we get the bill.
