Not a bad hotel for the price. Great friendly service. Rooms a little outdated but fitted all our needs. Make sure to have them turn on the AC in the office. Room was clean, cold and cable was fine.

We were in town for Hearsefest. It is a family tradition we go to every year. We checked in Friday night I think around 9 or 10 and had a very brief chat with the lady at the front desk. She said something along the lines of don't they have anything like that for you guys in Indiana, I have trouble sometimes reading people's vibes so I thought she sounded a little snippy with that question but I honestly just thought that was me, but my sister said she was kind of rude don't you think? I was like I did but I just thought it was me. My sister's a complete sweetheart and she usually just tags along with Hearsefest because it's a family thing and we also go to Bronner's in Frankenmuth. We get to the room and it wasn't real bad, the beds were very comfortable imo. But there was a hole in the shower wall, not a big deal, just stuck a rag in it for my peace of mind. The card key however was not working at all at first and took multiple tries to get it to open the door. We left and checked out Saturday morning and I asked for my deposit back and was told there was blood all over in the sink. Not true what so ever. I did have pink hand soap / body wash but even that wasn't in the sink!! We checked everything and made the beds before leaving! I got $30 of my deposit back. I did call back a few minutes ago and spoke with the manager who seemed decent enough. He said I was charged a $50 dollar deposit because they thought we were shady and they usually only charge a $25 deposit. Me and my sister were not rude what so ever at check in. I have no idea why they would say / do that?? He did say they have cameras with audio and he can hear what was said so hopefully he does check them because we were polite to the lady. Now when I checked out I will admit I was not happy and said they'd be getting a bad review. This review is way nicer than it would have been had I not talked to the manager because he seemed alright although he sears I goty full deposit back and I did NOT. At one point he did get attitude and say will what was would you like me to do about it? I said I don't know?? Maybe talk to your workers about being nicer and not judging people? He also told me they said there was blood in the sheets not the sink but my brother in law came in with me eventually at check out and I asked him a few minutes ago did they say blood in the sink or the sheets? And he said they said it was in the sink, I said the manager said it was in the sheets and he said no they definitely said sink. I'm just confused. On why we'd be judged and the sink issue. Hopefully he'll talk to his workers about judging people who do nothing to deserve it. Reading some other reviews though where the deposits had been stolen or a poor woman's money not refunded that had health issues makes me sad. So I guess all the deposits that were stolen or the money that wasn't refunded was from all shady people? I've never had a bad experiance at a hotel so I never read reviews and I guess trust they'll be nice too freely. I've learned my lesson. I will be checking from now on. One simple look at their reviews and I would not have stayed there. All in all don't stay here people. It's just not a risk I'd take. I was so happy I had found a room so close to Hearsefest and was surprised they weren't all booked up. However I think I found out why. Will definitely be driving the extra 20 minutes next year to Hearsefest vs staying here again. Edited a couple times for spelling and forgot to mention the part where he asked me what Id like him to do about it.
