Are you looking for peace and quiet, without wild parties? If you would rather NOT hear the incessant barking of poorly supervised, or unsupervised, dogs and you dislike stepping in dog poo- then you have come to the right place. This park also does not permit children officially, but I saw a couple that were “visiting” their grandparents overnight. Fortunately, they were well behaved and well-supervised. We stayed in our Airstream at LYH for 3+ weeks in January and LOVED it. The staff members, resident owners, and seasonal visitors were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The grounds and clubhouse were very well maintained, and on-site propane fills as well as on-site recycling were available. Although LYH does not offer washing machines, it does offers places to hang wet laundry out to dry- solar power use at its best! Grocery, pharmacy, and hardware chain stores were close, as were laundromats, beaches and good restaurants. The area offers everything from antiquing to kayaking to Kennedy Space Center, so there is something for everyone to do. If our travels ever bring us to the area again, we will definitely stay with LYH.
