Read MoreI genuinely wish I had done more research before booking. We checked out two days early because this place is absolutely not family-friendly.
Our room reeked of cigarette smoke (despite being non-smoking), the couch my child was supposed to sleep on was falling apart, and the tub drain was clogged. The woman at the front desk seemed genuinely annoyed that we were checking in, like we were inconveniencing her just by showing up.
Outside, there were always groups of men loitering — smoking pot, drinking heavily, and shouting — and walking to and from the hotel meant passing by people openly talking about drugs. I’m pretty sure there are prostitutes staying on our floor. Multiple times we passed women clearly tweaking, and today we saw people in the parking lot literally shooting up.
Trash cans were constantly overflowing, chairs and walls were stained yellow from smoke, and the whole property felt filthy and neglected. The parking lot looks abandoned, is crumbling, and full of construction waste and random work trucks. It honestly looks like a dump.
The pool was mediocre at best — the hot tub was boarded up and broken — and the whole area felt dirty, so we didn’t risk swimming. The gym was depressing: a single treadmill, weight rack, and one other machine shoved into a basement dungeon.
Worst part? The morning we left, a woman clearly under the influence wandered into the breakfast area with all her drug paraphernalia in hand, grabbing food. No staff in sight, no security, nothing. It felt completely unsafe.
I can’t express how much I regret staying here, especially with a minor child. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. This property is NOT what the photos or brand name would lead you to believe.
