Location didn't matter for us. After driving well over 20 hours, we just needed a good nights rest before the last 15+ hours of our drive... Everything was booked everywhere, except La Hacienda Hotel Laredo, so we paid $130 plus tax per room. Walked in the room ready to crash but with just one look and smell, I decided to sleep in my truck(so much for a good rest!) My family didn't care, so after I checked for any signs of bed bugs they did sleep in the room. I wasn't happy, but thought at least I'd get a shower in the morning. I did, but it was ICE cold! I needed it though, so I suffered through. Honestly, the cold shower and the outdated smelly room don't bother me as much as the lack of cleanliness of the bathroom; it was bad enough that I squatted over the toilet, that also wouldn't flush(It later did for my son??) .... Anyway, I would never pay to stay here again. -5 stars, if it was possible. *On our trip back home we stayed at a hotel in Oklahoma that was the nicest we've ever stayed in, AND it cost us less than La Dumpster/Hacienda.
