VacationFamilyLocation: 2Academy of Motion Pictures is closed on Tuesdays and the La Brea Tar Pits are closed the first Tuesday of the month, so I wouldn’t plan a trip there to see museums on a Tuesday. LACMA is still open (and fabulous) and the Peterson (Auto) Museum is open.The hotel is very safe, however, to get to any of the nearby museums, you need to walk down a stretch of Wilshire Blvd with a homeless encampment and piles of human feces.Academy of Motion Pictures, La Brea Tar Pits, LACMA, and the Automotive Museum are all easy walking distance.There’s a restaurant on the roof that’s very nice.Very friendly and helpful staffHigh-tech
