An adorable little motel with a stellar value. The pool goes right onto the beach, Crabby's on the Pass (while still currently closed at the time of writing) is directly across the street, and the room keys are actual keys! (Yeah, maybe not a big deal for you, but for someone who has to swipe those awful magnetic keycards 10 times before they work? It's amazing lol!) Plus, John's Pass is walking distance--and I mean actual walking distance. I'm 280lbs and live a more sedentary life than Wagyu calf and crossing the bridge by foot only left me mildly out of breath (remedied almost immediately by a cocktail or three upon arrival), so I'm sure any fit--average beach goers will have no trouble at all.
Oh, and the service was amazing! Tiffany helped us through booking in-person, took time to step away from the counter and show us our room herself, and pointed out the pool, where we could get beach supplies, and went over any questions we had. She was an absolute saint. You'll never catch me at places like the Bilmar again--it's John's Pass Beach Motel here on out for us.
