My boyfriend and I had a two night stay in biloxi at separate times as we were passing through from Texas to Florida. First time we stayed at the Beau Rivage, wonderful experience all around. The second time was at the IP Casino. I had high hopes before this stay at IP but after the fact I have to say itu2019s a 0/10, and I do not recommend. It started with hidden fees as I checked in on the mobile site that I was told I wouldnu2019t have access to in the first place. After my check in I noticed a charge of $100 along with the resort fee (this was made known prior). When I called the associate at the front desk stated this was a u201cdeposit incase you charged anything to the roomu201du2026.upon arriving to the hotel parking was not made clear as there was no one out front to direct you nor was there valet. We had to call the front desk to get instructions on how to find guest parking. As we entered the hotel we were approached with an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke, this smell is literally everywhere throughout the hotel, not just limited to the casino. We needed to go to the front desk to get room keys, there we were told, there was no room services, house keeping, or valet available. We had a long drive from Florida and decided that weu2019d just order room service as advertised online with other guest reviews indicating this. Nevertheless, we were told there was a sports bar were we could order food to go. After we drop our things at our room we went to the sports bar. There was signage indicating that we should order to go food u201dhereu201d. As we approach there is no worker but a menu. We decided to look at the menu while we wait for someone to come over to us. Soon after a worker approaches and snatches the menu stating u201cwe donu2019t take orders over here anymore, it moved to the other sideu201d. She said this as she pointed in another direction. After placing our order we waited about 20 mins, got our food and left. As we were walking away we realized we paid for drinks we did not receive. We went back to have one of the workers tell us u201cI thought you guys ordered drinks, I couldnu2019t rememberu201d. After this statement she sent someone to get the drinks. We got back to the room where noticed a wet spot on the carpet and appeared to not have been cleaned throughly. This adds up as they do not have housekeeping daily, only at check out. The room layout was not well thought out, as there is a massive A/C vent that blows air directly in your face as you are in the bed (no matter which side you are on). The room also had a cigarette odor despite it being a non smoking room.Overall, I have to say this was not a good experience. It most definitely was not was worth the $200 a night. My recommendation, if youu2019re staying in Biloxi, stay at the Beauu2026always.
