I recently stayed at the DoubleTree for a birthday getaway, and I have mixed feelings about the experience.
Upon arrival, the check-in process was quick and efficient, which was a great start to our stay. Our room appeared clean initially, but we quickly noticed some issues. The bathroom sink was dirty, and there were dirty towels already in the room. We reached out to housekeeping for more towels, and they were responsive, which was appreciated.
Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. We were looking forward to breakfast, but both mornings we were met with cold food. When we brought this to the staff's attention, we were told there was nothing they could do about it—I was disappointed, especially considering that breakfast cost us for two days.
We also wanted to enjoy some beverages at the bar during our stay. However, it seemed that the bartender was inexperienced; our drink orders were incorrect, and the food orders didn’t match what we requested. We communicated this to the front desk, but it felt like our concerns fell on deaf ears.
On the positive side, the hotel is in a great location, which is a definite plus. However, I believe the DoubleTree needs to focus more on customer service and the quality of their food to enhance the overall experience. With some improvements in these areas, it could be a much better choice.
