We continue to stay here because they have perfected a consistent exceptional experience for every stay whether you are traveling with or without a pet . The staff are amazing, the hotel restaurant waaaaay above average and the facilities and grounds beautifully managed and maintained. The Drover is not inexpensive but unlike many of the hotels in this price range you actually get VALUE and SERVICE for the money. You are in a walkable district filled with restaurants and shopping, and the hotel itself is a great destination. The lobby is huge, beautifully appointed with comfortable seating areas and gorgeous art . There are two excellent bars (inside and out)with light bites and extensive outdoor seating with a gorgeous pool. If traveling with a pet you will be confined to their standard rooms on the second and third floor, but the “dog rooms” are equally as luxurious as the regular rooms and are super clean and well maintained. For those who have experienced “dog friendly “ hotels that have zero amenities for either the dogs or their parents (think no dogs alone in rooms, no dogs in public spaces, no dog walking areas, no where for pet parents to eat and the list goes on) this is NOT those hotels. They actually welcome dogs, provide dog bowls, leashes etc, allow dogs to be secured in rooms, allow well behaved dogs in public spaces and have a huge walking trail and pet relief area as part of the facility. If traveling without a pet you can choose from an assortment of customized rooms, each beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. In summary, this is a perfect get away destination to checkout, relax and enjoy both the hotel and the surrounding stockyards.
