We have just checked out from Hotel Casa Del Mar after a short and sweet 2 night stay in room 619. WOW, we had such an incredible stay that we had to leave a review right away. My husband and I have travelled all over the world, stayed at countless hotels and we are so pleased to say that this is our favourite hotel we have EVER stayed at. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, it is so grand, and oozes character and charm. The decor is absolutely stunning and so much thought and detail has gone into every room and area of this hotel. The location is perfect, right on the beach, a stroll away from the Santa Monica Pier and so close to many great restaurants and places to eat. Our room was absolutely stunning, so luxurious, beautifully furnished, homely, spacious and clean, the bed was so grand and comfortable, we loved the spa bath and the view of the beach and overlooking the pool was absolutely spectacular, we didnu2019t want to leave! The pool area is so lovely and it is heated, we loved spending the afternoon in the pool and jacuzzi even in the cooler weather.nThe most outstanding part of our stay was the exceptional service we received from each and every staff member of this hotel. From the moment we stepped foot in the lobby, right up until we checked out, we have never been so spoilt and well looked after. What an incredible team at Casa Del Mar. We would never stay anywhere else in LA! We want to make a special mention to Cassandra & Angel at the front desk who went above and beyond, nothing was too much to ask and we are so grateful for everything you did to make our stay extra special, you guys are amazing.nAlso a special mention to our fabulous bartender, Jerry. He was absolutely delightful, and shared so many great recommendations of places nearby for us to visit. Casa del Mar has become the new benchmark 5-Star accommodation for my Family.nWe spent five days there for a wedding with all activities at either this hotel or their next door counterpart u201cShutters on the Beach.u201dnAll the staff were the most attentive & u201cmake it happenu201d attitude we have ever experienced.nThat sentiment was also echoed by the Bride & Groom plus the entire guest list who roomed here.nNo detail too small to get right, of course I also include the magnificent housekeeping staff.nKudos to you all!nnEdit: After arriving home & looking over my detailed receipt, an additional charge was added for purchases from our mini fridge that we did not make.nJust a note as even though it was not $$ much, we have had this occur to us in the past in differing establishments to add to the bottom line very sneakily. The only issue we had for the entire 5-day stay was our room was warm. We contacted the front desk & they had a hotel engineering staff person there within minutes & a fan that we requested. The exterior Terrace Garden area we enjoyed was fantastic as the weather cooperated as we arrived so u201c70u2019su201d as highs with cool nights.nSafetynA very safely maintained zone including crossing between hotels/functions at Casa del Mar & Shutters at all hoursu2026down to the beach even.nWalkabilitynA very walkable area up & down the beach or street. A great central location for a walk or a quick Uber. Just minutes walking distance to the pier, Venice or even the old u201cMuscle beach.u201dnFood & drinksnBartenders & waitstaff were magnificent. The bartenders were true mixologists.nNoteworthy detailsnThe food, the food, yes, the very best cooked to order was perfection. Even my (Wagyu) cheeseburger & fries was the best meal I could ever imagine for my last relaxing dinner before leaving in the morning. My wife ordered the flatbread Margherita pizza & we both were in heaven.nHotel highlightsnLuxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet
