We recently stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Needham Boston in a 2 Queen Beds Studio room. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was decent. However, the room design was a major disappointment.
The studio layout has no door separating the bathroom sink area from the sleeping space, and the nearest queen bed is just a few feet from the sink. This makes it nearly impossible to do your morning or evening routine without waking up everyone in the room. There is no privacy — everything you do at the sink is both visible and audible, which is not ideal for families or groups who value privacy.
While the toilet and shower area do have a door, the sound insulation is very poor. Your private bathroom activities can easily be heard throughout the room, which can be quite uncomfortable.
We checked in late (around 1 AM) with two tired kids and stayed only one night, so we didn’t request a room change. But based on this experience, I definitely would not recommend this room type.
