Nice pool area with screen topped gazebos allow relaxed reading. BBQ area, firepit, picnic tables.
One of the best features is the breakfast- until 9:30 weekdays, 10 on weekends. Scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, potatoes. Meat and potatoes change daily to provide variety. Lots of bread, muffins, English muffins, bagels (3 types), toast bread and make your own waffle station with toppings that include syrup, chocolate syrup, low calorie syrup, strawberries, chocolate chips and whipped cream. Two choices of juice, two choices of coffee (regular and ‘robust’), 4 choices of cold cereal, as well as hot oatmeal next to the waffle station. Lots of spreads including cream cheese for the bagels, peanut butter, 2-3 choices of jam, bulk and in individual packets of you’re taking breakfast upstairs to your beloved.
Kitchen staff will even heat tortillas if you want to make some breakfast tacos topped with green or red salsa, shredded cheese and sour cream. There are also bottles of Cholula and Tapatio picante.
The only drawback is the remote location that is surrounded by a golf course and gated residential. They also charge a $10 parking fee per day.
Laundry facilities next to the fitness centre are complimentary, and they sell detergent at the desk. Fitness Centre is small and well appointed with some bikes, treadmills and elliptical trainers, free weights and such.
Staff are friendly and helpful- my safe needed a new battery and it was promptly replaced.
Shower head is possibly the best I’ve ever used, with various settings, and its’ force is so strong the light curtain often blows away and the walls at the front and back of the tub show the splash. Shallow tub for those who hate showers. Bulk amenities (pump dispensers) include hand wash, body lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. I was very impressed with the quality and lack of overpowering fragrance.
Not far from the airport, but a drive or car share to get to dining, and nightlife. I would probably stay closer to the ‘Strip’ next visit as I enjoy walking to attractions, dining and shopping. If you just want a relaxed getaway and drive, it is ideal for a family as it sleeps 4 with the pull out sofa.
