Our 10-day stay at the hotel was a mix of pleasant and frustrating experiences.
Pros:
Cleanliness: The hotel was very clean, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job, although they only serviced rooms every other day. Despite this, they maintained high standards of cleanliness throughout our stay.
Friendly Staff: The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our visit more enjoyable.
Gym Facilities: The gym was well-maintained, with clean and updated equipment.
Fire Pit: The outdoor fire pit was a delightful feature, especially on chilly mornings and evenings.
Convenient Location: There were plenty of walkable restaurants and shopping options nearby, and the grocery store across the street was very convenient.
Cons:
Breakfast Options: While the breakfast was good, it lacked variety over the 10 days. It would be beneficial to include more options, such as meat and fruit.
Pool: The pool was extremely cold and unusable, which was very disappointing as it was a significant reason for our booking. As residents of Alaska, we are accustomed to cooler water, but the pool was unbearable.
Toilet Water Temperature: Interestingly, the toilet in our room had hot water, which radiated heat and made the room humid every time it was flushed.
Parking Access: There is only one access point to the hotel parking lot. During peak hours, the traffic made it nearly impossible to enter, and we often found it faster to park across the street and walk.
Housekeeping Supplies: Housekeeping did not leave more than one roll of toilet paper at a time, which was inconvenient for our party of three. This necessitated frequent trips to the front desk for additional supplies.
Phone Service: There was no cell service in the room, which was inconvenient for communication and any immediate needs.
In conclusion, while the hotel had many positive aspects, the extremely cold pool was a significant drawback. If this issue is addressed, I would consider staying here again. Thank you for your stellar customer service.
